Paul, July 2010. First owner - Oliver. Originally white Poly with gold hardware. Refinished in black by Paul in April 2016. (quote from the invoice: Wal 4 string Mk 2 bass dismantle, strip & prep body and neck, re-fit side dots, refinish body & neck gloss black, service as necessary, set up with D'Addario EXL190 for 1350 GBP). Having experimented with various lighter body wood alternatives to the heavy mahogany without changing the tonal quality of a Wal, Paul suggested using Spanish Cedar on my MK2 - and it sounds awesome. |
