At a young age Leon Roos already displayed talent for fine arts and music and at age of 17 makes the choice for music, as painting and music couldn't develop simultaneously.

After a successful musical career of nearly twenty-five years and a decade in which his attention was drawn to business development and graphical, multi media and IT projects, Leon Roos returned to brush and easel recently to produce a surprising range of works in acrylic paint on canvass, with as binding topic “silhouettes”.

In this, a survey is conducted how preferably curved shapes with as less detail as possible, can be captured in the chosen media, with conservation of and respect for “sense”, “texture” and “essence”.
Two- en three-dimensional imaginations in this process obtain a new, indefinable dimension.

As Leon Roos is not the person to work on only one subject at a time, besides the topic “silhouettes”, he also explores “unexpected bindings” and “hidden presences” in which what remains unrevealed for the human eyes is all the more teasing for the mind.
